True Blood Fills Final Major Role for Season 3 – Still Looking For ‘Buxom Swedish Servant Girl’ SPOILERS (02.05.10)

Brit Morgan, just cast as Debbie Pelt

After a long, exhaustive search, True Blood showrunner Alan Ball has cast a character who is to be one of a “triumvirate of evil.” The executive producer continued, describing Debbie Pelt as “bad to the bone… not just crazy… evil.”

… Actress Brit Morgan — best known from ABC Family’s short-lived drama The Middleman — has scored the pivotal role of Debbie Pelt, the psycho ex girlfriend of werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello).

Last month, exec producer Alan Ball told me that the juicy part — already a major component of the show’s upcoming third season — was being beefed up. “She’s going to be in more episodes,” he said, “so maybe that will have an impact on [what actress] we can get for her, which is a big question right now.”

With that question now answered, all of Season 3’s major roles have been cast.

Except for Denis O’Hare and Alfre Woodard, Alan Ball went with largely little-known actors for the new cast additions to “True Blood” this season.

Morgan joins fellow new cast members Manganiello, Theo Alexander, Grant Bowler, Lindsay Pulsipher and Cooper Huckabee, as well as J. Smith-Cameron and veteran actress, Alfre Woodard.

OK. This casting call (below) cracked me up–and was sort of arousing. Can you imagine how many ladies would jump at this chance? I know it’s only make-beleive but still, “Eric kisses her passionately and fondles her breasts.” True Blood does not spare the sexy!
