About

Me = Workaholic Canadian expat living in Chicago area. Nocturnal. Funny. Slightly bent.
I like writing about fantasy, drama, sci fi, social media, pop and counter culture–and True Blood!

I’ve been a fan of True Blood since it’s premiere and began writing about it at Forever A Fangirl following it’s first episode in season one. I found though that there is such a wealth of news and media (videos, promo photos, etc.) that I can easily maintain a blog devoted to all things True Blood./EDIT 4.16.10 – It’s not easy! But I love it.

With such a stellar cast and with legendary director Alan Ball (Six Feet Under, American Beauty) leading the way, there is great True Blood-related material to share throughout the year.

Click the Twitter icon below if you want to know more, email me at thetruebloodblog@gmail.com (LOL this was misspelled for how long? Sorry! Need an editor!) or drop by my other sites, Forever A Fangirl and The Love You Make, where I cover True Blood, Dexter, Weeds, Nurse Jackie, LOST, Sons of Anarchy, films and very occasionally some celebrity stuff, especially about Johnny Depp’s work, as well as soundtrack and other reviews.

Cheers!

Despite claims on *ahem* other fansites about being the “original” True Blood fansite or the like, I’ve written about True Blood since the day after the first episode aired. It was not an accident that I started watching. Both Alan Ball and Anna Paquin had tweaked my attention and I blog about Season 1, Episode 1  right away. Where I wasn’t all  that on top of things was realizing how BIG True Blood is and that I could have whipped up a fansite pretty quick. This is my belated though very fondly- rendered contribution.
All Truebies are welcome.
Newbie Truebies need not be afraid of being drained (vampire term for being intentionally killed as a punishment) here at  The True Blood Blog if they don’t have the history of True Blood and/or the Sookie Stackhouse series of book memorized.
No flaming from me or anyone else toward any  non-industry individual is the one golden rule. I don’t exactly “flame” industry insiders *cough* Ausiello*cough* but I do make fun of  their often late arrival to the True Blood-verse. I hate to hold a grudge but some of them were very not-excited about True Blood until it “caught on.”
