I don’t know if like me, you are having mixed feelings about True Blood’s imminent Season 3 ending. Don’t get me wrong, I have no doubt that it will be awesome but this season went by faster than both one and two–it was so jam-packed with new characters and beefed-up parts for some old favourites. It’s just so hard to say goodbye. OK. Now I’m sounding like a sappy love song so let us get to something a bit more hardcore, shall we? Courtesy of E!Online (Please learn how to spell actor Denis O’Hare’s name–let’s pretend you are actual journalists, OK? (Sorry for the mini-rant, readers. I am fanatical about this type of thing. I expect E! to get it right–it is their paying gig–which I’d be glad to do–hell, I’ll be their proof-reader! )
In the alone time Jessica and Hoyt share at Bill’s house after she saves him from Tommy in his pit bull form by ripping open her vein and feeding him, Hoyt listens as Jessica explains the realities of her true nature. Although momentarily taken aback by her confessing that she accidentally drained and killed a trucker, Hoyt accepts that Jessica simply cannot stomach Tru Blood and can only feed on humans. Without hesitation but with slight trepidation Hoyt offers his own blood to Jessica.
That’s the serial killer from season 1 that Arlene was going to marry until Sookie decapitated him (in self-defense, he was trying to rid the world of “fangbangers.”)
Arlene is now pregnant with his baby (total showtime elapsed is only about
Anyway, Anna is positively giddy having only been wed for about a week and Stephen is his normal witty and slightly bawdy self. Might be the best interview I’ve seen them give despite the not-really-the-greatest interviewer.

True Blood – 3×12 – ‘Evil is Going On’ Season Finale Screen Caps
This was my favourite scene from True Blood’s episode 11, “Fresh Blood.”
Sookie’s curiosity and worry about Eric saying his final goodbyes to her compels her to go to Fangtasia where inspired by Pam to “use her” (Sookie) in trying to defeat Russell Edgington, Eric chains Sookie in his dungeon whilst he fetches Russell in order to offer Edgington the opportunity he cannot turn down–to be able to “walk in the light.”
Bill senses Sookie’s distress and storms into Fangtasia, finding Pam alone. He demands to see Sookie, Pam tries to stall him, mostly by belittling his affections for Sookie, calling him an “infatuated tween.” Bill loses patience after reminding Pam that he is older and stronger and will defeat her if she attempts to thwart him any longer. A fight ensues. Meanwhile in the dungeon, Sookie “hears” the voice of a woman of a foreign language. She’s taken aback that Yvetta has come to rescue her. Spurned by Eric, Yvetta is about to take her leave of Fangtasia. With Sookie unshackled, the two women rush upstairs as the sounds of fierce struggling continue.
Sookie and Yvetta discover Pam astride Bill, squirting what turns out to be silver water in his eyes which blinds him temporarily. Sookie, who had the foresight to grab one of the dungeon’s selection of silver chains before ascending the stairs comes up behind and casts the thick chain around Pam’s neck and pulls tightly, effectively defeating her.
Later, Ginger is shown freeing Pam from the additional chain(s) that Yvetta secured Pam with–chains bound very tightly and that dug deeply into Pam’s cold flesh.
After telephoning Eric to apprise him of what occurred, briefly interrupting his tête-à-tête with Russell, Pam is finally fully unbound by the feckless, over-glamoured Ginger. She inquires of Pam if there’s anything she can get her to make her feel better. Pam responds with “a drink” as she grabs hold of Ginger and sinks her fangs into the screaming waitress.
So. Has Sam blown a gasket or something? I keep thinking that now, near the end of season 3, everyone on this show has been traumatized and the events are just coming one after the other. “Snapping” would seem to be a reasonable expectation of the fallout from the serial killer-co-worker and maenad Maryann–plus all the “other stuff” in the last 2 months of the show’s time frame.
Poor Sam. His early life seems about as bad as it has gotten so far one the show. Maybe Crystal, the “daughter of a meth dealer” promised at age four to her half brother as a future wife <ick>. Then there’s Sam’s bro Tommy who no doubt has had a rough go of it but he’s hard to feel sorry for, little wanna be badass tht he is.
Don’t impale me for this slightly- educated guess: I (think I) read her name as “Ravenscroft ” in the So. Gothic Mystery book series by Charlaine Harris.
But.
She has been “Just Pam” (as she insisted in a recent Babyvamp Jessica vlog appearance) on True Blood until now, I’m pretty sure.
Regardless, I’m really enjoying Kristen Bauer van Straten’s work in True Blood this season. I hope we see at least as much of her next season as well.
It’s cool to see the progeny-maker side of her and Eric’s relationship. Knowing how far Eric would’ve gone to stop Godric from “meeting the dawn” or “the true death” we can guess that Pam would breach many boundaries to save Eric (including earlier in Season 3 literally her own skin in the hands of the Magister) so it’s within possibility that Pam will be taking some drastic measures in the last two episodes of True Blood season 3.
Bring it on!, right?
