Awesome vampire training scene!

“Jessica” (Deborah Ann Woll) is a favourite on HBO’s True Blood. Originally abducted by vampires near the end of Season 1, Jessica was sired by Bill by order of the Magister for Bill’s killing of Fangtasia vampire bartender Longshadow in defense of Sookie. Jessica was just 17 y.o. at the time of her death and subsequent turning. She was & still is very much an inexperienced teen, mostly due to extreme parental over-protection. In S3 thus far we’ve had very little interaction between Jessica and her maker due to his confinement by the King of Mississippi. “Baby Vamp” Jessica has been fending for herself and not doing a great job of it. Before turning to Pam(!) for advice she accidentally drains and kills a man because she did not know how to stop feeding in time. As of this episode S3xE08, “Night On The Sun,” to Jessica’s great relief, Bill has returned home.
She’s unprepared for his announcement upon his return, however. Watch the scene (above) as well as their next scene together–one with a very different vibe to it.
The screen caps illustrate to me why Deborah Ann Woll is so popular as Jessica. She completely inhabits her frustratingly endearing character.
