A couple of my faves and there are many–are these. Opinions?

There are many Lafayette & Jesus shots which I’m thinking must mean that they will have a decent-sized storyline in True Blood season 4. Who doesn’t love Lafayette? And Jesus so far has been very easy to embrace as a character.

I’m pretty excited about the possible direction for Lafayette & Jesus in season 4 and I love how Lafayette, a character known to us since season one but long dead in the Sookie Stackhouse series books, is growing. When we first meet “Lala” he already possess the foundation for what’s happening to him at the end of Season 3. He sees right through people as if…he had some kind of extra ability. The way the story seems to be unfolding is that Lafayette, beyond the obvious “something extra” he possesses had previously unknown-to him voodoo/ black magic- based mad skillz and coincidentally or not, new boyfriend does as well!

Sookie takes on Alcide's ex werebitch Debbie Pelt

Anna Paquin (Sookie) readys herself for both Debbie Pelt and Russell Edgington to come for her.

Sookie and Debbie had a real brawl which ended with Sookie dragging the blades of some sewing scissors across Debbie Pelt’s cheek. As of now, the second to last eppy of Season 3, their business is still open-ended…so I expect more from Brit Morgan in season 4–especially because Joe Manganiello will be a series regular as Debbie’s ex-bf,  the still-pining, Mississsippi were, Alcide Herveaux. Speaking of:

Big ol’ piece of eye-candy but a comic-book geek, IRL. Have to be charmed by Mr. Manganiello. At least I was–and am looking forward to seeing how the Sookie & Alcide dynamic plays out in True Blood Season 4.

This scene with a hungry Jessica accidentally showing her fangs to Arlene after-hours at Merlotte’s when the two were all alone except Jessica’s next meal “Curlers” (below), was very funny. Carrie Preston as “Arlene” is a hoot.

As with all maker-progeny vampire relationships Bill and Lorena’s was very strong.

trueblooddotnet_303_006

In a few words: She loved him in her own “twisted” (pun intended) way and he hated her. Or she obeyed her true nature and he refused to after (under 100 years but above 50) years of bloody binging with Lorena… I’ve forgotten exactly how many. Perhaps he has as well. ;)

This was simply a very cool scene esp. visually right through the science-fiction-y “Authority,”  identities shrouded, appeared on the big screen to hear Eric’s story– with both their queries and comments sent through an earpiece Nan Flanagan wore.

Good to see Bill in the sunlight, clad in white but alas, his true nature overtook him–again and he tried to fang Claudette, Sookie’s Faery godmother. After she zapped him she indulged him by listening to his request to explain “what” (“What are you?”) she was so he could tell Sookie what “she” is–to “protect Sookie.” The audience was not privy to their convo. and many people seem to doubt that Bill told Sookie the truth about his encounter with Claudette. Time will tell…

Aww. One Two more.
Both Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) and Pam (Kristen Bauer van Straten) are in a very tense scene with one another (and the attorney writing Eric’s will) but they are dressed nearly colour-coordinated and they both look fantastic!)

The King (Russell) is closing in after Eric’s murder of Russell’s husband of 800 years, Talbot. Pam is very worried about Eric and this time she does offer him a suggestion–”find a way to use her” (Sookie) to save his skin, she implores Eric in this scene from late season 3.

Don’t forget! There’s no  newTrue Blood episode this week (September 5) because of Labour Day. The season finale of True Blood is on September 12!

There many more (see above) but it’s getting really late and I’m taking off to Canada for the week. Kisses!

From E! (Kristen) See below some of the “the stuff” Denis refers to that he had to be clad in for episodes 11 & 12 (I’m thinking mostly 12).

A very big part of what who/was great about Season 2 True Blood-- Denis O'Hare as King of Mississippi Russell Edgington

I think too that Denis may have been at some point clad in a getup similar to the one Alexander Skarsgård is in the photo below. Looks like you can basically stand around in it and not much else.

True Blood Season 3 -11 & 12 – ‘Fresh Blood’ & Finale

“In episode 12, the final episode,” Denis teases, “I was encumbered with a lot of stuff, and it made the shooting process incredibly difficult. I had to do a lot of physical stunts. I love doing my own stunts, [but] it was a lot more than I thought I would do. And then I had a lot of makeup. The make-up was heavy-duty, two and a half hours in, two and a half hours out.”….
….. “Sookie gets mean and hurts me very deeply. Eric gets mean and hurts me very deeply. And even Pam gets a little mean to me, although she’s nice at one point, and hurts me very deeply. And I weep for joy at one point.”….
… “I think Russell’s going to end up in a place where he didn’t expect..”

Sookie and Alcide in the future or did one of them dream this up?

Based on the preview below for episodes 7-12 (it is mislabeled as clip 2 for Episode 7. It is not as the video poster explained). I’ve got a few questions, maybe some ideas. Just a short couple tonight–because trust me,they are juicy, Then a batch tomorrow and caps more from the episode 6.

Update/

True Blood 3×07-Hitting the Ground Recap (HBO)

We can pretty well tell that things go very badly for Sookie (bad to worse would seem an apt description) in episode 7, Hitting The Ground.” SPOILER!!!
Sookie lives.

Bill feels very badly that he almost killed her while delirious from his own near death at the hands of Lorena and the V-addicted wolves, he attacks Sookie and feeds from her greedily. His fault or not? Or was she as Tara suggested, out of her mind to have barreled in to “save” him.

SPOILER. Of course James Frain continues as Franklin Mott. Did you see his body crumple up and turn to goo? You did not. Tara can be forgiven for not knowing that you cannot beat a vamp to death if you ain’t going to stake them or completely sever their heads.Tara “only” smashed Franklin’s already-addled brains in. Sookie would.

He's baaack!
